This was after I gave Samaya an intact wedge of sweet potato and her daddy got a wee bit nervous. My intent was to try out baby-led weaning and it still is...but we'll wait until certain members of the family are more comfortable with the idea. Or at least at work. (Just kidding honey)

Well, if it makes Sisay feel any better Maia has choked tens of times, on everything from kale to bottle caps. While it is not fun, the super parent that you are will switch onto instincts and start doing "the back slappy thing", hanging upside down, mouth fishing and belly squishing. It always surprises me how many times I think she will choke on something and doesn't, but we know parenting is full of surprises!
